Nanoreno 2023: in Villainess everyone mysteriously forgot you are a villain apparently

Nanoreno 2024: it's your turn to forget now! forget everything! abolish memory! live in the moment!

yes this is all a devious trick to avoid writing scene transitions how did you know

player character suffers memory loss around seven times per playthrough Not counting the start of the game
